Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Pingry ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Pingry is a platform that allows users to create public profile pages where visitors can pay to send them direct messages. Payments are processed through Flutterwave (for cards, bank transfers, and mobile money) and the Bitcoin Lightning Network (via Blink). Users can withdraw their earnings via bank transfer or Lightning.

3. Account Registration

  • You may register with an email and password, or by signing in with Google
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Pingry
  • One person may not maintain more than one account

4. Payments and Pricing

  • Profile owners set their own message prices in USD
  • Payments are processed by Flutterwave (fiat) or the Bitcoin Lightning Network (via Blink)
  • Lightning payments are converted to USD at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment
  • Pingry charges a platform fee (currently 10%) on each transaction
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

5. Withdrawals

  • Withdrawal requests are submitted in USD and reviewed by our team
  • Payouts can be made via bank transfer (Flutterwave) or Bitcoin Lightning
  • For Lightning withdrawals, USD is converted to satoshis at the prevailing rate at payout time
  • We reserve the right to delay or decline a withdrawal request if fraud is suspected

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Pingry to:

  • Send or solicit illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Send spam or unsolicited commercial messages
  • Attempt to bypass payment requirements
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

7. Content and Privacy

You are solely responsible for the content you post on your profile and the messages you send. Messages are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM and can only be read by the intended recipient. Pingry does not pre-screen content but reserves the right to remove any content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, any remaining balance will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

9. Limitation of Liability

Pingry is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to losses arising from payment processing, cryptocurrency exchange rate fluctuations, or third-party service outages.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of Pingry after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
